The MoPictive tapeless workshop is your chance to get over your tapeless reluctances. Yes, you can erase, corrupt or otherwise make a mess out of a perfectly fine set of files, but with this system, producers, editors and assistants can feel confident and benefit from the potential speed from shoot to edit that tapeless acquisition can offer. Michael Vitti is an early adopter of tapeless acquisition, having shot two documentaries and as the HD Tech on a multi-camera feature, he has developed a foolproof system. Join us for this one day, intensive workshop. Hands on workshop to cover: the tapeless system, expect the un-expected station setup & configuration Data, media and metadata management codecs, data formats and data capture Scopes & monitors with Michael Heywood (TBD) handing off to the editor Bio: Michael Vitti is the leader of the Moving Pictures Collective of NYC, a community of digi- tal storytellers and NYC filmmaker for the last 15 years. He has presented on tapeless technology and practices at IFP Market, SMPTE NY and MPEG NY events as well as shot two features and teched a high definition tapeless multi camera feature using an Apple tiBook. Michael started out as a cabletech, location sound recordist, camera as- sistant and presntly is directing corporate communications projects. Her editing work spans different genres, including narrative shorts, full-length documentaries, CG effects, color correction, news, PSA's, and corporate video. As a certified trainer, Jamie teaches video and audio editing and effects. She is Director of Education at Manhattan Edit Workshop.
